From Political leaders to villagers, all gathered at his native village to bid him a farewell. Punjab State's Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann attended the ceremony and shared in the family's grief. While at the ceremony, he highlighted his idea to build Marathoner Fauja Singh's memorial statues at various of the sports related areas.
