Another move towards improving air surveillance policy, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has invited a tender for supplying Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to fly at the stratosphere level. The upper air space, from as low down as around 20 kilometers above the face of the earth, would provide the huge advantage of day-long, twenty-four-seven surveillance and intelligence gathering.
