During the escalation of India-Pak tension, Comedian Bharti Singh faced backlash for being in Thailand. Many accused her, assuming she was on vacation, while her family was in Amritsar amid the crisis. In her new vlog, Bharti clarified that she is in Bangkok for professional commitments, not leisure.

Bharti Singh is an Indian comedian and television personality. She gained fame as a stand-up comedian, notably as a runner-up in "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge". Bharti is known for her spontaneous comedy.

She has hosted many comedy shows like "Comedy Circus," "Comedy Nights Bachao," and "The Kapil Sharma Show." She has also participated in reality shows such as "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa," "Nach Baliye," and "Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi."

Bharti got emotional in her vlog and responded to the harsh comments about her being in Thailand, while her family in Amritsar deals with uncertainty amid the escalating tensions.

She started her vlog by acknowledging her family's presence in Amritsar and reassured fans that they were safe.

"Yes, the city and the country are going through turmoil. But my family is safe.... I have full trust in my country and the government... India is a very strong nation aur isse koi hilaa nahi sakta (nothing can shake its spirit)... When I read your comments, I don't get angry. I just feel aap log bahot bhole ho (I sometimes think that you people are very innocent)," she says in the video.

Sharing about her visit to Thailand, Bharti said, "I want to clarify to everyone I'm here for work and not for any holiday. We had a shoot for 10 days, and we had committed 3-4 months ago to this project. A lot of preparation has gone into it, and it is not professional to ditch someone at the last moment."

She also shared that she got Worried about all the fake news and called her family 2-3 times a day.

Towards the end of the video, Bharti broke down, recalling the hurtful remarks of trolls accusing her of being indifferent toward her family and country.

“I do get tense and cry a lot... And the harsh comments do affect me. I can’t just ignore them because you people are a part of my family.... Once again, I want to say that I have trust in my country and my government. It is my family who is encouraging me to work amid the tough times, as the show must go on,” she added.

On May 7, India launched a retaliatory attack on Pakistani terror bases in response to the Pahalgam attack under the code name of Operation Sindoor. Following the Operation, tensions between the two countries escalated. However, India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire (May 10) after the United States intervened.
