Hina Khan Receives Immense Support from Industry and Fans after Accusations of Exaggerating her Cancer Battle with Breast Cancer

Renowned actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya recently shared his experience of working with Hina Khan in the television show Girah Lakshmi, shedding light on her unwavering dedication and professionalism. Despite being diagnosed withbreast cancer,Hina Khan remained committed to her work, showing no visible signs ofillnesswhile shooting the series.
Dibyendu recalled that when they were filming the show in April 2024, Hina exhibited the same level of energy and enthusiasm as always. However, it was only in June 2024 that she publicly announced her breast cancer diagnosis. Reflecting on their time together on set, Dibyendu expressed admiration for her resilience, stating that she never allowed her struggles to affect her work.
She was completely devoted to the project, he said. Even when she wasnt feeling her best, she never let it show on her face. She continued to work late hours, sometimes until 2 or 3 AM, without making anyone aware of her health condition. Its truly inspiring to see someone so dedicated despite facing such a difficult personal challenge.
Dibyendu further emphasized how grateful he was to have met Hina through the show. I consider it a blessing to have made a friend like her. Her strength and positivity are truly commendable. I will always cherish the memories of working with her, he added.
While Hina received widespread support for her courage, she also faced controversy when actress and stage 4 breast cancer survivor Rozlyn Khan accused her of exaggerating her condition. Rozlyn claimed that Hina had misled the public about the severity of her diagnosis, stating that she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer, not stage 3.
Rozlyn went on to express disbelief over Hinas ability to be so active just three weeks post-surgery. She even shared medical reports in an attempt to support her claims. However, her statements were met with severe backlash, as many felt her remarks were unnecessary and insensitive.
In response to Rozlyns accusations, Hina Khan chose to maintain a positive outlook and subtly addressed the controversy through an Instagram Reel. In the video, Hina is seen relaxing in a bathrobe, sipping a drink with a calm demeanor. The caption of her post read, Cleaning my aura, one sip at a time Oops. Additionally, she wrote, Meanwhile me in my room, enjoying the Stage of giving zero fcks.*
Her witty and composed response resonated with her fans and fellow celebrities. Many supported her for handling the situation with grace instead of engaging in unnecessary disputes.
Hina Khans reaction garnered immense support from the entertainment industry, with several celebrities, including Ankita Lokhande, standing up for her. Ankita publicly criticized Rozlyn for her comments, calling them cheap and baseless. She, along with many others, condemned the attempt to discredit Hinas battle with cancer, highlighting the importance of supporting those going through such difficult experiences rather than questioning their struggles.
