Leaders Shocked about the Cowardly Pahalgam Attack

Leaders from all over the world, including US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and others, condemned the terror attack in Pahalgam and expressed solidarity with India.

United States’ President Donald Trump said in a post on Social, "Deeply disturbing news out of Kashmir. The United States stands strong with India against Terrorism. We pray for the souls of those lost, and for the recovery of the injured. Prime Minister Modi, and the incredible people of India, have our full support and deepest sympathies.Our hearts are with you all!"

US Vice President JD Vance, currently in India with his family, also expressed shock. “Usha and I extend our condolences to the victims... Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they mourn this horrific attack,” he stated.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman conveyed his condolences, stating that Saudi Arabia stands with India and is ready to offer any needed support. PM Modi, who was in Saudi Arabia at the time of the attack, cut short his visit and returned to India.

Russian President Vladimir Putin condemned the attack as a “brutal crime” and called for justice. “We expect that its sponsors and perpetrators will face a deserved punishment,” he said in a message sent to the Indian President and Prime Minister. He reiterated Russia’s commitment to increasing cooperation with India in counter-terrorism efforts.

Muslim World League Chief Condemns J&K Terror Attack in Meeting with PM Modi in Jeddah: Muslim World League Secretary General Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Jeddah on Tuesday. During the meeting, Al-Issa strongly condemned the "ghastly terror attack" in Jammu and Kashmir and extended his deepest condolences over the loss of innocent lives.

Australia PM Condemns J&K Terror Attack, Says 'No Justification For This Violence': Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese condemned the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir that left 26 people dead. Posting on X, he said he was “shocked” by the “horrific” violence against innocent civilians and emphasised that there could be “no justification” for such an act. He extended condolences to the injured and bereaved families and expressed solidarity with all those affected, including Australians connected to the tragedy.

UN Chief Condemns Pahalgam Attack, Calls Violence Against Civilians 'Unacceptable': United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has strongly condemned the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, calling the violence “unacceptable under any circumstances.” In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Guterres said the “armed attack” targeting civilians must be unequivocally denounced. “The Secretary-General stresses attacks against civilians are unacceptable under any circumstances,” the statement read, as global outrage continues to mount over the deadly assault.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni also expressed her condolences. "Deeply saddened by the terrorist attack that occurred today in India, which caused numerous victims. Italy expresses its closeness to the families affected, the injured, the Government and all the Indian people,” she said on X (translated).

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer also condemned the attack. "The horrific terrorist attack in Kashmir today is utterly devastating. My thoughts are with those affected, their loved ones, and the people of India," he wrote on X.

The UAE strongly condemned the attack, calling it “heinous” and expressing “sincere condolences and sympathy” to the Indian government and families of the victims. It also wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

Iran offered its condolences to the government and people of India, particularly to the families of the victims, and extended wishes for the recovery of the injured. "We extend our heartfelt condolences to the government and people of India, especially to the families of the victims of this attack, and wish a speedy recovery and good health to the injured."

Sri Lanka issued a strong condemnation, expressing “heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims” and reaffirming its commitment to regional peace and the fight against terrorism.

Thierry Mathou, the French Ambassador to India, strongly condemned the “dastardly attack” and said France stands in solidarity with India in the fight against terrorism.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz condemned the “heinous terrorist attack” and extended condolences to the families of the victims, along with wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.

"Ukraine is deeply concerned over the attack on tourists at Pahalgam, J&K. We endure the loss of life from terrorism daily and firmly condemn terrorism in all its forms. When innocent people are murdered, it brings unbearable pain. The perpetrators should be held accountable," the Ukrainian Embassy in India wrote on X.

The Pahalgam terror attack — one of the worst in the region in recent times — occurred around 2:30 pm when terrorists dressed in fatigues opened fire on tourists at Baisaran meadow. The Resistance Front, a local offshoot of the Pakistan-based terror group Laskhar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the attack.

Terrified Pakistan Denies Involvement in Pahalgam Bloodshed: Hours after the brutal terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir's Pahalgam, Pakistan issued a statement, denying its involvement in the attack. Pakistan's Defence Minister Asif said, "We have absolutely nothing to do with it. We reject terrorism in all its forms and everywhere." Adding, "Don't blame us", the violence is "home-grown."

Israel PM Netanyahu Condemns Pahalgam Attack, Vows Support to India: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his condolences and support after Pahalgam terror attack, stating, "My dear friend Narendra Modi, I am deeply saddened by the barbaric terrorist attack in #Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, that killed and injured dozens of innocents. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims & their families. Israel stands with India in its fight against terrorism."

'Condemnation Is Not Enough...': Spiritual Leader Sri Sri Ravishankar Calls For 'Strict Action': Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravishankar says, "At this hour of grief and rage, the whole world should come together to show the place of the terrorists where they belong. Every sane person will condemn this, but now it's not just enough to condemn; there is a need for action. Everyone should come together and really corner these people who have been indoctrinated in such a terrorist mindset. It should be nipped in the bud where such indoctrination is being given, wherever it is in the world. Innocent people's lives are being targeted by this inhuman behavior, which should be done away with. At this hour of grief, let's all pray for the strength of the victims' families."

'It is A Massacre': an Indian Leader-Owaisi condemns Pahalgam terror attack, demands actions: AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi condemned the Kashmir terror attack, he said, "We strongly condemn what happened in Pahalgam, and we hope that the government will punish these terrorists. We stand with all the families of those who were killed by the terrorists and wish that those injured recover as soon as possible...This incident is more condemnable than the Uri and Pulwama attacks. The terrorist targeted civilians this time. It is a massacre..."

'Proscribe Pakistan As A Terrorist State...': Kapil Sibal. On the Pahalgam terrorist attack, Senior advocate Kapil Sibal said, "Those responsible for this should be prosecuted in the international court. I urge the Home Minister to proscribe Pakistan as a terrorist state and refer it to the International Criminal Court. I am sure the opposition will stand by this."

Jammu & Kashmir observed Complete Shutdown to Protest against attack: Several organizations, including the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), have called for a complete shutdown in Jammu on Wednesday. The bandh is in protest against the recent killing of 26 people by terrorists at a tourist spot in Pahalgam. The Transporters’ Association, Jammu Bar Association, and the Congress party have also supported the shutdown call.
