Shukla, who is a distinguished officer of the Indian Air Force (IAF), is set to become the second Indian to venture into orbit and the first to visit the International Space Station (ISS) as part of Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4).

The Axiom-4 mission to the International Space Station, carrying Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, has been delayed due to a liquid oxygen leak in the Falcon 9 booster. SpaceX and ISRO confirm repairs and tests are underway before a new launch date is announced.
