The 41st anniversary of Operation Bluestar was observed peacefully at the Golden Temple on Friday, under a tight security. The day passed without major disturbances, although various radical sikh groups raised pro-Khalistan slogans.

An explosion on Tuesday occurred in the Nushera Village area under the Kambo Police Station in Amritsar. In the incident happened, one has been reported dead.
