Originally, Gita was written in Sanskrit. However, to make it more accessible to youth, it has been translated in English under the name "Bhagavad Gita as it is." The book has been translated by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKON).

This version is not just a translation, it presents the Gita "as it is," without personal interpretation, staying true to original verses, and reflecting the Vaishnava (Krishna centered) tradition. The book is gaining much attention from Public worldwide, over 30 million copies have been sold.

The book was published with an aim to restore the Gita's original message and present it without speculation, modern reinterpretation or philosophical idea.
