Some other farmer organizations, including the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) and Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM, non-political), have scheduled foot marches to Delhi on December 6, 2024.
Earlier, Sarwan Singh Pandhair, the general secretary of the Kisan Sangharsh Mazdoor Committee, also informed about the farmers protesting at the Shambhu border (Punjab-Haryana Border) to carry out their march to Delhi on December 6. They have been demanding a guaranteed minimum support price, among other issues.
They were also seeking pensions from the government, along with several facilities, including no electricity tariffs, withdrawal of police cases from previous protests, and justice for the victims of the 2021 Lakhimpur Kheri Violence.
The Lakhimpur Kheri Violence took place on October 3, 2021, in Uttar Pradesh, India. During a protest against the Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Mauryas visit, a vehicle, allegedly driven by Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister Ajay Mishra, killed four farmers and a journalist. In retaliation, the angry protestors killed two BJP workers and the driver. The incident resulted in eight deaths and left several injured.
Meanwhile, the protest march on December 6, 2024, will include hunger strikes and marches towards Delhi. Farmers from some other states including Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu and Kerala are also planning to march towards their respective state assemblies on the same day, in order to press their demands on the government.
In order to manage the farmers protest from affecting the commuters, the Noida authorities have issued a traffic advisory with guidelines and alternative routes to ease congestion.
Heavy-loaded goods vehicles will not be allowed to enter from the Yamuna Expressway, Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, and Surajpur routes to prevent traffic jams. These measures have been taken in order to ensure and facilitate smoother flow for passenger vehicles.

During this session, various legislative bills are introduced, debated, and discussed. This time the key highlights of the 2024 Winter Session in the Parliament include healthcare, India-China relations, and various disruptions.
