Indian armed forces intercepted multiple drones and ballistic missiles launched by Pakistan in a sharp escalation of border tensions. India responded with targeted strikes on Pakistani airbases after neutralizing threats near Amritsar and Delhi.

Late night on Friday (May 9, 2025), an armed drone targeted a civilian area (Village Khai Phemeki) in Ferozepur District, resulting in severe burns and injuries to the members of a family.

As per the reports, an alert has been announced in Chandigarh. People are advised to stay insides and away from balconies.
